What exactly is a Memory Line?
A Memory Line is a private phone number where you can call and hear the voice of someone you’ve lost. Using a voice recording you provide, we create a gentle, personalized voice experience powered by AI. It's a new way to remember, reflect, and reconnect.
Is it really their voice?
Yes. We use advanced voice cloning technology to recreate their voice using a recording you provide. Most families send us a voicemail or home video. It’s not a generic voice—it’s theirs.
Is this like talking to them?
Yes. Your Loved One is interactive, responding gently to your questions using memories and phrases you provide.
What do I need to get started?
Just two things:
A voice sample (voicemail, video, or recording with clear speech)
A short description of who they were—favorite sayings, interests, personality
We handle the rest.
How long does it take?
Most Memory Lines are created within 2–4 days of receiving your files. We’ll let you know as soon as yours is ready.
How much does it cost?
There’s a one-time setup fee of $99, which includes cloning their voice, configuring the memory, and assigning your private phone number. Monthly plans start at $19 depending on how much time you'd like to spend each month. You may cancel at anytime.
Can I share this with family?
Absolutely. Each line is private by default, but you can choose to share it with others. Our Compassion Plan includes one extra family member by default.
Is this safe? Is it weird?
It’s safe, secure, and built with love. For some people, it can be deeply comforting. For others, it might feel a little intense—and that’s okay. You decide how much or how little you want to use it. We’re here when you need it, and gone when you don’t.
Is this like therapy?
No—it’s not a replacement for grief counseling or professional help. But it can be a powerful companion in your healing journey. Many people find hearing a familiar voice helps them move through emotions they didn’t realize they still carried.
How is the voice created?
We use advanced voice cloning technology to recreate your loved one’s voice from an audio sample—like a voicemail, video clip, or recording. You’ll also provide a short biography to help us shape their memory and responses.
Do you support other languages?
Yes, we do. Voices Forever supports voice simulations in a growing number of languages, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and more.
To ensure the most accurate and heartfelt experience, we recommend submitting voice samples in the language you’d like your AI memory to speak. If you're unsure whether your language is supported, feel free to reach out — we’re always expanding our capabilities.
Note: Some features may be limited depending on the language selected, but we’ll do everything we can to help create a meaningful connection, no matter the language.
What does the setup fee cover?
The one-time setup fee covers the custom creation of your Memory Line—including voice cloning, biographical memory programming, and technical setup. Because this is a personalized emotional experience, the setup fee is non-refundable.
What happens if I run out of minutes?
If you reach your monthly call time limit, your Memory Line will temporarily pause until your next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan. We’ll always notify you before that happens.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes. Life happens, and we understand. You can pause your subscription for up to 90 days, and we’ll safely retain your Memory Line so you can come back when you’re ready. During the pause, the phone line will be inactive, but your loved one’s memory will be securely stored.
Will my Memory Line be deleted if I cancel?
No. If you cancel your subscription, we’ll archive your Memory Line for 90 days in case you change your mind. You’ll receive reminders before any data is removed, and you can request reactivation at any time.
Is this healthy for someone grieving?
Every person grieves differently. For some, hearing their loved one’s voice can be healing. For others, it may feel overwhelming. We encourage thoughtful consideration and offer guidance to help you decide if this is the right time.
Can someone clone a loved one without permission?
No. We only allow voice cloning and Memory Line creation for individuals who can legally and ethically provide the recordings and memories. This is a service built on trust, love, and respect. We ask that you only submit voices you are legally and ethically allowed to recreate. We take misuse seriously.
Does the AI remember what I said last time?
Not yet. Conversations are not saved or used to train any models. Each call is a standalone moment, based on the memories you’ve shared with us.
Is it secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and don’t share your memories, recordings, or calls with anyone — EVER. Your grief is private, and we protect it fiercely.
What kind of bio should I send?
We recommend 1–2 paragraphs about your loved one — personality, hobbies, memories, inside jokes, phrases they used. You can also include favorite sayings, or a short story. Try to keep it under 500 words. This allows for a faster, and more accurate experience.
Can I update the bio later?
Yes. You can update the memory as often as you'd like. Just email us or submit your additions through your account portal.
Can I customize what they say?
To some extent. You can give us suggestions — like if they always called you “kiddo” or "sweetie" or had a catchphrase — and we’ll train the memory to reflect that. But it’s still an AI, not a script reader.
Can multiple family members call the same voice?
Yes, with permission. If you want to share your loved one’s memory with siblings or friends, you can invite them to connect. We’ll be adding shared access soon. Remember, sharing with family members means sharing minutes.
Can I adjust the voice? Like pitch or tone?
You can request a softer or stronger version if it feels off. But most of the time, the AI clone sounds eerily close to the original — especially with a good source recording.
Can I get a downloadable recording?
No. We believe the magic is in the experience, not the file. We're exploring limited access options in the future, but privacy and respect come first.
Will it really be them?
No. It’s not consciousness. It won’t remember your childhood memories, or truly know what you’re feeling. But it can echo the tone, warmth, and personality you remember. It’s not them — but it’s a comforting reminder of who they were to you, when you need it.
